Information for Current U of M-Twin Cities students
If you are a student who is currently attending a college on the U of M-Twin Cities campus and you wish to transfer to CLA or add a CLA major or degree, the following information may be useful.
Transferring to the College of Liberal Arts
Are you a degree-seeking student who wishes to transfer from a college on the U of M-Twin Cities campus to the College of Liberal Arts?
Are you a non-degree seeking student enrolled in a college on the UMN-Twin Cities campus?
Non-degree seeking students-- most of whom are part of the College of Continuing Education -- should fill out the "Transfer Application"
found on the Office of Admissions' site. Students are non-degree
seeking if they have not been previously admitted to any U
of M campus or college.
Adding a second major or degree, or adding a minor in CLA
You should click on the link below about "Declaring a Major: Non-CLA Students" if you:
are degree-seeking;
enrolled in a college on the U of M-Twin Cities campus; and
wish to add one or more CLA majors or minors, or wish to complete a second degree through CLA.
Adding a major, minor or degree means you plan to
continue with the major in your current college and pick-up a major, minor, or degree in the College of Liberal Arts.
